On 5 of August 2022, I had an ICD surgery in my heart at First cardiologist Consultant, ikoyi, through Healthy Heart Foundation, The ICD was a Single chamber ICD,I got the best and most professional hospital care of my life, the procedure took 3 hours and it was very successful and the doctors and Nurses where the best, I was discharged the following day 6/08/2022. And since then I have been going for my regular checkup and appointments. The foundation played a very important role in making the surgery possible, I was able to benefit a discount of 1 million Naira from the foundation which made it possible for my surgery,Am most grateful to Healthy Heart Foundation for helping me achieve the success of my heart condition. I want to appreciate God and the healthy heart foundation, for my healthy condition today. Since on the 21st April, 2022 that l had a major surgery, all my formal feelings (sickness) are gone, except a minor pain on my chest, which l am recovering fast. l have an appointment with the FCC on the 8th Sept. 2022 which l am not sure of coming, because l lack consultation fee. I would have been the worst scenario for me and my family if not for the foundation that came to our rescue, our baby 'Favor' was diagnosed with congential heart diseases which would have been end of the road for survival of our baby, we were told that the surgery will cost #11million, all hope was lost until Healthy Heart Founddation came to our rescue, the surgery was done, despite the fact that it was a high risk surgery, it was successful unfortunately we later lost her, the foundation gave the pride of clear conscience that we are parents try our best to save hwe, all thanks to FCC and the Foundation, my immense gratitude to Mrs Nwaneri, Dr Johnson, Dr Kofo, Mrs. Cynthia and the Foundation team for the effort, we remain eternally grateful.

I had my first procedure (mitral valve repair) on the 13th of December, 2021 and it was very successful. Along the line, there were complications which God through the team at Healthy Heart Foundation was able to manage. I got discharged in February and as an out patient, I was coming for wound dressing till March. While under the watch of the medical team, I saw true professionalism as everyone sees every patient as their patient and are always ready to offer the needed care and attention at every demand. I have been restored back and I no longer experience the symptoms I was having again. Though I have not been very involved in activities but I feel good now and mm over around freely.

My name is Adamu Tanko, from Nasarawa State.I was diagnosed of Mitral Valve Prolapse in the year 2009. My doctor deemed it necessary to go for Valvular Surgery in 2017 which we've tried many foreign hospitals if one could be affordable considering our thin financial muscle. All the bills and costs given were quite alarming that we could not attempted. Before one knows it, the hope givers (Voom Foundation) announced their Free Surgical tour in 2019 as against 2020 to Nigeria. I couldn't hesitate than to make a contact and got an instant approval. Unfortunately, the 2020 Covid-19 scourge hindered the initial planned trip but as they always keep to their words, the Voom Foundation made it to save our lives in 2021 immediately after travel resumption. We got invitation by Voom Foundation in partnerships with Healthy Heart Foundation and FCC. To my greatest surprise, all the procedures for the surgical mission was carried out at the most befitting health facility "First Cardiology Consultants" Ikoyi, Lagos. We are thankful for this shower of love, mercy and compassion. Thanks to Healthy Heart Foundation, Voom Foundation, First Cardiology Consultants and Abuad for saving our lives.

The whole issue started when I began having difficulty in breathing and I had to consult a cardiologist in Lokoja, Kogi State where I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse. I had to get a second opinion and so I went to consult with another cardiologist at Cardio Care hospital Abuja. I was then introduced by my doctor to First Cardiology Consult and Healthy Heart Foundation in Lagos who at the time where carrying out free open heart surgeries for people who could not afford it. I then booked an appointment to see a cardiologist at First Cardiology Consultants where I was reviewed and the earlier diagnosis confirmed. I was then put in touch with the foundation (Healthy Heart Foundation) and was given a date for my surgery. The whole process started in December 2021, when I had my first surgery. The care I received at First Cardiology Consultants was simply world class as everyone I came in contact was ready and willing to be of help. My recovery process has been good as I feel much better now even though my recovery is still ongoing. I would like to thank Healthy Heart Foundation, First Cardiology Consultants and VOOM Foundation for the chance I have been given to lead a healthier and more rewarding life.
